If you could sleep forever what would you dream of?
Would you dream?
That lost space deep in nothingness becomes light and comatose with thought,
Would you dream of another?
With soft set lips and strong lines to remember,
Of their curves who fit neatly into your palms,
Of their shoulders like towers who upon them pillar arms of strength flow from,
Would you dream of something like peace?
Would it be like a slow windy day,
Set in a prairie with the animals unafraid,
Could it be soundless,
Filled with colors you could never see anywhere else but there,
Would it be warm or cold,
A season of your choosing as you lay next to fire or beach still perfectly unapologetic,
That’s the thing about dreams,
Because when you wake up,
Reality doesn’t compare.
